Szent Istvan University is a public university with the main campus located at Godollo, near Budapest. SZIU has 6 faculties (2000 teachers, researchers and 15,000 students). The Molecular Animal Biotechnology Laboratory was established in 2007 with the appointment of Andras Dinnyes as full professor. The main research areas are micromanipulation, in vitro embryo production, stem-cell technology, molecular biology methods.

Prof. Andras Dinnyes
Prof. Andras Dinnyes  has been working on embryology, cloning and stem cell biology since 1985. He has been a Fulbright Scholar in the US, and in 2000 he joined the cloning team in Roslin Institute (the „Dolly team”) as team leader, under the guidance of Sir I. Wilmut. He was advisor for Geron Inc, US. In 2001 he returned to Hungary, as a Wellcome Trust International Senior Research Fellow. He obtained a DSc degree and “habilitation”. He is an expert in ESC and cloning technology. He has a decade of international experience in project/team management, He was been appointed as strategic full professor to the BRC programme of Utrecht University. He is full professor and the leader of the Molecular Animal Biotechnology Laboratory at SZIU.
